Uchronia

Uchronia explore my family heritage through the hard work of the lyonnaise silkers during the 19th century. Since the pandemic, people living in cities have re-evaluated their lifestyles and want to reconnect with nature. This philosophy is all about balance and contrasts where nature and heritage can commute for a healthy and balanced lifestyle. My key references are to relieve, in a modern way, French heritage craftsmanship that we should take as an example of slow fashion. Uchronia reconnects people with time and our forgotten planet.

Surrounded by cracking in our daily lives, it is a natural process that is often considered as a negative impact on earth, skin or materials.

Those cracking appear to remind us the time passing, hence, by the understanding of the Wabi-Sabi philosophy, this project embrace the imperfections of time elapsing.

The Crack of Time

The development of this collection is a new perspective of the existent Paul Smith sun logo brand. This design is inspired by a day in “la Carriere des lumieres” in Provence, it is an ancient limestone carrier, a place completely blank, like an infinite canvas ready to be painted.
